Dolomite is a carbonate mineral of which the crystal structure is similar as that of calcite, often in the form of rhombohedron. It slowly bubbles when it reacts with cold dilute hydrochloric acid. Dolomite is the main mineral component of dolomite and dolomitic limestone.
